Calendar of Events

 

 

The library motivates children to develop good reading habits and skills through various programs and events.  Ongoing functions include weekly story time for children, programs to encourage reading and library participation, book clubs, puppet shows, cultural series and exhibits.  Seasonal and holiday programs are also offered with stories, films, puppet and marionette shows, arts and crafts and guest presentations.

For preschoolers is every Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45 am.  Children will develop an appreciation of books and literature through stories, music, poetry, and other activities that promote reading and literacy.   The dates for March are:  March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.  This month's themes are Spring time fun and Saint Patrick's day.   The dates for April are:  April 6, 13, 20, 27.  April's themes are Easter and Nature.

 For all ages.  Is presented on the first (1st) Wednesday of every month at 4:00 pm.  Join us for a lively presentation by the Brockway Puppets.   On Wednesday, April 7 at 4 pm., the Brockway Puppets will present "Spring Green".

   For ages 7 and older.  Meets on the third (3rd) Wednesday of each month from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.  We discuss one of the American Girls book characters, do a craft from that era, and have a treat. 

                       

For ages 7 and older.  Meets once every fourth (4th) Wednesday at 3:30.    Children discuss a selected book and participate in related activities.    For March,  the Brockway Book Club for Kids will meet on Wednesday, March 31, at 3:30.  We will discuss The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.

 Kids! do you love to read?  If so, join the Brockway Book Club! 

Special Seasonal and Holiday Events are announced regularly.   Visit the library often.

The Summer Reading Program is designed to maintain children's reading skills during the summer and includes special events, guests, and activities.

Programs are every Tuesday and Thursday from 2 to 3 PM beginning on  June 15  and ending  on July 29.
